Following on nicely from the absolutely massive Prolix 12” (“Exile b/w “Choke Hold”), the debut release on Ganja Tek and the debut release for the new tech-kid on the block from Brighton. Prolix. Generation Dub arrive on the label to crack their knuckles and prove they aren’t just about jump up. When this went out on promo we knew people would be a little bit freaked out by the idea, and they were… but only until the records arrived in the shops. Even in the dead of summer the promos were gone within a week, rinsed as quickly as an Englishman having a cold shower in Siberia. What the G Dub guys have got together and done is a perfect example of what is Ganja Tek, though where the Prolix 12” was more Noisia, this one is definitely more along the lines of Pendulum. Lots of bass-lines, snappy snares, excellent arrangement and the sonics you come to expect from Generation Dub, there aren’t many better producers around than these guys at the moment.
