Touchin Down Productions returns to the dub flava sounds, with 2 hot tunes set for release around February 2006. Firstly 'East River' by one of Finland's finest producers Jani Niiranen, best known as Dice who has had past releases on Defunked, Planet Funk, Mangofunk and Straight Up Breakbeat to name just a few. As well as production, he's a regular DJ playing all around Europe as well as hosting 2 radio shows in his homeland & Estonia. 'East River' kicks off with a subtle deep snare roller intro with reggae influenced strings, followed by the raw end bassline. The dubby bass-line moves the track along into a deep journey of mix'n match tear up of breaks, beats giving it a very fresh sound through out this dance floor roller. On da flip we have 'Irie Dubz' from an artist who goes by the name of Silva D & he is already gaining a high reputation with his own production sounds. He also has set up his own drum'n bass label called Sound Devious, with 2 releases strong already in 2005. The tune kicks off with some party reggae vocals, layered over some snappy breaks & some high pulsating dubby strings. Silva maintains the dubby roller sound with 'Irie Dubz' a crowd pleaser & one to get the dance floors shocking. Both of these are getting some major support in the scene & appearing in the boxes from Kenny Ken, Jumping Jack Frost, Nicky Blackmarket , Social Security, Hype, 1Xtra and Calibre right through to global support of the label.
