DJ Hazard seems to know how to turn it on each and everytime, especially for anything for Ganja where he has not had a release to date that hasn’t been played at every event, and has sold thousands upon thousands. “Use Your Brain” & “Selector” are no exceptions, this is a 12” that should remind you why you own a shop / work for a distro, this is seriously sellable stuff. The A side of “Use Your Brain” is an example of Hazrds forward looking funk, made to make you jump this one gets you going but taints you with a touch of darkness. The AA is as good if not better, “Selector” is something of wake up call to his compatriots showing all those around that this man can flex his studio whichever way he wants. A true Playaz tune, reminiscent of days gone by when Zinc brought hidden musical depth to the dance-floor, this is tough bass manipulated to an unforgettable melody, this stays in your head for an age. This signals a tornado of output from Ganja / Playaz, with the first release on Liqweed fast approaching plus the much anticipated release of the “Up In Smoke” EP by Generation Dub, next on Ganja.
