I decided that now was the right time to start my own imprint, to put out some varied styles which I wouldn’t normally release on Full Cycle or Dope Dragon. I’m currently enjoying making all different flavours but always keeping it big and bashy! On my travels I’ve also found some unsigned artists that I’m very much looking forward to working with, but am keeping that close to my chest just for the moment. Each release is going to be something fresh, something that I believe in and I’m going to develop concepts for each release which are going to be revealed through sleeve art and videos etc.” (Clipz 2006)
Clipz opens the gates of the zoo with a monstrous anthem: ‘Download’ has been supported for months by Grooverider, Andy C, Friction, Hype, Mampi Swift, Shy Fx, Roni Size and Zinc to name a few. As for the tunes lyrical content: Clipz assures me that he’s not trying to be political, he’s just making a point! On the flip Clipz brings together a whole host of experimental sounds in order to make you ‘Get Down’ – this tune is also causing havoc on dance-floors right across the globe, without even trying!
