With a career spanning more than a decade and an inimitable discography that includes his latest longplayer for Instra:mental's imprint Nonplus+, it is no surprise to find ASC dropping futurology on yet another bleeding edge label. * 'Comsat' builds a groove from the bare bones of a 2-tone percussion lick and stabbing vocal cuts, punctuated with an increasingly complex selection of warm, unctuous bass, analogue drums and one-off hits. 'The Liar' on the flip weaves shreds of tough junglism into a restrained, dubbed techno framework - heavily reverbed percussive elements, 909 chimes and square waves providing the backing for riotous breaky edits and wild, flailing synths.
