With both tracks having been prominent features on Frictionâ??s recent mi
album and Grooveriderâ??s support on Radio 1 this is yet another must-
have Shogun release.
* First up to be given the once over is â??Down The Lineâ?? and believ
when we say the original was killer but this remix is iller! The boy
wonder Break has taken the once tough but dulcet tones and turned them
into whatâ??s commonly know as a dance floor destroyer. Although Breashows
his softer side with a beautifully melodic, vocal and guitar-laden intro
itâ??s the drop oface-wincing grizzle bass and neck-snapping snares that
mark this one out from the crowd.
Wait for the switch-up on the second drop too, total carnage! * To most it would be a hard act to follow but Shogunâ??s own Icicle rise
to the challenge with ease and takes Stray into some seriously deep territories. Keeping the original samples intact he plays with us at first, teasing with sporadic kicks, snares and looped pads before a nasty
drone bass rattles in and takes things deep deep down. Expertly crafted,
