Following on from the hugely received Lenzman re-fix of 'Soul Patrol', one half of Total Science steps up to deliver another fine 12" for his own CIA imprint. Q Project opens 'In 2 Deep' with some stepping comb filtered drums and an eerie combination of sound effects that slowly build tension, much akin to Jonny L releases of old. Brace yourself for the bass! Pounds of low end hit the floor as buzzing mid range snaps fly past your ears. Flip over for 'Five 13'. Starting out with a slightly more rolling breakbeat and some nicely brought together strings and melodic flourishes, this one drops into a minimal modern jazz affair with subtle bass notes and plenty of movement throughout.
