Mickey Finn’s brand new Finn People imprint has been making some serious waves since its inception, the previous three releases have been doing much dancefloor damage across the globe and the fourth looks set to do the same! Finn People is a self confessed label whose only aim is to make people dance and remind them to have fun in the club. My bad habits include biting my nails, smoking and not eating enough fruit and veg. Ego Trippin & Sly’s ‘Bad Habit’ is a bit different, a distinctive blend of stepping beats, offkey guitar plucks and a simple but effective “This is developing into a very bad habit” vocal hook before a grinding square bass tops things off with mighty aplomb. On the backside a sunshine soaked Reggae number opens with relaxed half time vibes and a smiley disposition. ‘Blessings’ is just what you’ll be counting for you have picked up a 12” with not one, but two dancefloor smashers pressed onto its lovely grooves as the distorted bassline and rolling Amen overlaid break combination will confirm.
