‘Altitude’ was originally a hit for the Architex in 1996 and over ten years later sounds just as fresh. A continually evolving stream of crystal clear breaks, bass and enveloping atmospherics have given this tune a one way ticket to classicsville and it’s a pleasure to see it available to buy on vinyl once again. To bring things up to date a little Basement decided it would be a good move to enlist Blu Mar Ten to rework ‘Altitude’ and a fine job they’ve done too, adding just enough up to date production and some fresh vocals without tearing the original to pieces.
