Now if we said to you that 'Freezeframe' was a cacophony of cryptic samples, grinding bass flicks, space age atmospherics and snapshot snippets, you'd probably look at us a little bit funny, and maybe even say something like "Well that doesn't sound very good!" However, you'd be wrong to write this one off in such a flippant manner, shame on you! If you like the works of Commix, Lomax and others of their ilk, you will no doubt love this new one from Motive. 'The Great Deflate' meanwhile is a warping blend of screeching ambience, LFO bass and tight, punchy beats. Nice.
