Marvellous Cains Runninz / IQ combined imprint contibues to remind of us of those magical days gone by. This time it’s the truly haunting “Hello Lover” remixes, remixes from one of the biggest artists of the time, and the biggest artist of all time. Both mixes originally came out on what was IQ recordings back in 1994, and became a seminal piece of Vinyl. The Hello Lover vocal sample sent a chill down many a spine, and when Marvellous was deciding who to give the honour of remixing, these two names where the first to pop into his head. Andy C’s remix brings his trademark ear for a dancefloor smasher to the fore, combining intricate chopped amens with the sublime strings and pad samples, then a strong pounding b-line to finish things off. Traces’ effort on the double AA, unsurprisingly brings in his infamous Tramen break, and is a slightly more rolling approach, a track with real depth & maturity.
