Blu Saphir seems to be progressing with each and every release. With Electrosoul System and Aspect getting their props on 004, 005 comes through with a duo of smooth rollers, each great tunes in their own right, but with very different styles. Anyone who misses out on this one should go back to school to learn what good music is. A - Side: DK_Foyer & Jebar – Rhytual There’s no denying that upcoming Russian producers DK_Foyer and Jebar have struck gold with this little gem of a tune. Like a blast to the past, these are the sounds that brought me into drum ‘n bass. The tune begins with an atmospheric melody atop some fluttering drums. Definite old school Metalheadz sounds here. A short reggae vocal drops the tune into its full vibe. The simplified sounds that create the bassline after the drop only add to the magnificence of the tune. The drums become harder and ride out until the end. Superb! AA - Side: DK_Foyer & Jebar – Rhytual ( Big Bud Remix ) As mastermind of Soundtrax Recordings and a veteran of Good Looking and Creative Source, the crew at Blu Saphir couldn’t have picked a more suitable artist to remix this incredible tune. Big Bud brings out the deep atmospherics in this one. The drums take control early on, but it’s not long before this sweeping melody comes rolling through. Much of the original tune is kept in tact while the piece seems to build endlessly throughout. Another masterpiece!
