There is something very clandestine about the origins of Malfoy. This undercover pairing have come out of their usual shells, stepped into the light that is jump up and created some music that is as good as any you may hear by established artists. Their first release “Bear Hunter” was an unparalleled success for a first release, on Calypso Muzak it caused a real stir amongst the record shops. This, their second, actually sees them come with two styles. The A side is the loveable “Lucky Number”, using proper jump up bass-lines and a sample from all our childhoods this causes mayhem in the dance. The AA is “The Galleries”, a more thoughtful display of controlled energy. An excellent 12” with excellent artwork, watch out for “Artisan” & “Profiler” by Lomax out on the next 12”.
