Distorted Minds are back again with another huge release on their flagship label D-Style, “Searchin’” has received huge attention on Dubplate, and spurred a whole wave of signings for Distorted Minds material, including Mr Hype… who has picked up a 12” for one of the top 3 dnb labels, Ganja. When this one drops, you can see why there’s been so much fuss, the beats have the same weight as always, but are noticeably cleaner… and the bass… well the bass is instant as always, powerful as always, but most importantly it oozes a certain emotion that so far only the likes of Roni Size and Shy FX can muster. “Impulse” on the flip is equally as impressive, all the elements as described above…. Some might even say this is the best 12 to date on D-Style, check it.
