It's hard to believe it's been a year since the last release on Defunked, but we're glad to announce we're back on track with this superb newsingle from Ste.Luce. Hailing from Basel in Switzerland, Ste.Luce (aka Nic Plésel) has been a keen follower of the British Hardcore and Rave scene since 1993.Hhe began dj'ing at the tender age of 15, and took his first steps in production in 1997. Two years later, along with dj Toon and Mad Marshal, Nic launched Boogie Man records which had a total of 5 releases. Fuelled by this success, Nic felt the need to launch a more soulful label and so soulsurfin' music was born.over recent years ste.luce has worked in the studio with DJj Addiction and they have released a joint single on the re-launched Soulsurfin' music label in February of this year, Nic dj'ed alongside Bryan Gee at the legendary Movement night at Bar Rumba. ‘Remember’ is a lively, soulful track that utilises a superb rolling break and powerful chord stabs with male vocal hooks. A growling basslineand strings add to the proceedings to create an intense energetic vibe.this track has had major support from bailey, featuring heavily on his1xtra show for many months, and has also featured in the sets of LTJ Bukem, DJ Addiction and Mosus. Flip over for ‘Supernatura’l, which is another uptempo number utilising a melodic bassline, reversed chord hits and vocal snippets.
