Ganja Records launches the much talked about Liqweed Ganja…and no it’s not Ganja Artists trying their hand at the liquid style. DJ Hype has always supported the liquid style since the early Bukem Years. If it rocks Hype will most probably be playing it. So for the first time in the Ganja history they have a label dedicated to the style. To kick of with a magical rolling tune from scene stalwarts The Funky Technicians, Quiff & Smithy (Q Project / Total Science) come to town and blow the house down (sounds like normal behaviour to me!) One World samples George Bensons classic ‘The world is a ghetto’ line and blend it with rolling beats some nice liquid sounds and rolling Bass-line, the track certainly has plenty of balls and will certainly get you shakin’. Legends of Love is a darker affair but with its atmospherics and subtle hooks still falls nicely into the Liquid category. Great release to kick of this new label. Watch out for the next two releases A-Sides & Calibre.
