	11.08.08 Cubist hailing from Strathmore, a northern suburb of Melbourne, Australia, is the newest addition to the Grid camp with two tracks that have found favour with DJs all over the world. Having previously released on G Dub’s Blueprint label this is one of a new breed of producers who has the raw talent to be one of the stars of the future! l‘Memory Lapse’ has hint of the rolling Full Cycle styles of the late nineties, and so it comes as no surprise that DJ Die included the track on his recent ATM magazine cover CD. The emphasis here is on getting the head nodding with an infectious bass line and sharp, tight beats - simple but deadly - it’s all about the funk! l‘Nautilus’ is a slightly tougher beast, still rolling, but with added energy and extra punch in the bass. This track again shows that it’s not always about the noisiest drop and chopping and changing basslines - sometimes all you need is some beats and a little bass - Cubist makes it seems so easy, but don’t be fooled - this man has talent!
