Dubchild- STORM014 (Storming Productions) Dubchild- STORM014 (Storming Productions)
Stupidly good package from Storming productions. Barry Lynn (aka Boxcutter) remixes Dubchild’s Take Me’s grubby bass, heavy beats adding all manner of electronic contortions. Maintaining perfect balance between hard-edged and soft-centred musical stylings. Once again making it clear that he is a producer with a far broader sound than most of his contemporaries. Deep dark and glitchy, Protocols X’s sick remix of Mount Zion is one heavy, heavy remix. Taking on influence from Drum & Bass and Grime sound palette's, making use of live rolling drums and blunted stabs for a heavyweight beast t for a big system; the bass would no doubt re-arrange internal organs! Storming always favours the kind of gnarly dubstep that takes on influence from Drum & Bass and Grime sound palette's, and this opening remix from Distance is no exception - making use of live rolling drums and blunted stabs for a heavyweight beast not for the fainthearted.
