A synth and rasta-chant intro gives way to a distorted pulsating bass that hits like a ton of bricks from the soundsystem. tribal basher sees caspa in a dance floor mood, in keeping with his expertise in strong melodies and well timed drops. A raging sax and string line rolls over tribal bongos and a deep flowing bassline to create a real party anthem. Opening the next vinyl is custard chucker a collaboration with labelmate rusko (king of acton). This summertime dubby wobbler has been in the game some time now, combining ruskos dub organs and melodies with caspas raw bass wobbles and electro drums to maximum effect. velvet rooms harks back to the days when popular dubstep night fwd was held at Londons velvet rooms nightclub. As was the sound back then, caspa switches up into some liquid 2-step. Pumping shuffled drums and sweet-as-you-like vocals underpin a warping bassline that never leaves the brain. Pure class.
