With his releases on his own Ox Rider Records, East London DJ / Producer Whistla has made a name for himself as one of the mostinteresting Dubstep producers on the scene today. Not afraid to push things in new directions he has crafted a sound which isuniquely his own. The 4th release on the label sees Whistla wearing his 2-step influences proud with 2 tracks of off kilter garagebeats: Heaven oozes swing and groove. The bass line bubbles around a twisted vocal line whipping any listener into a frenzy whichwill see them swiveling across any dancefloor, studio or bedroom. Rollerball utilizes a tearing break and combines it with garageshuffle. It pounds subtly with understated mid range wub-wubs. Like the name suggests, it is a proper roller and totally unlike theconveyor belt productions dubstep churns out today. Firmly part of the Dubstep scene but conscientiously mutating the UK Garagesound of old, Whistlas music is totally compelling and uncompromising. Keep you eyes glued to flyers for where you can catchWhistla tearing up a dancefloor near you soon.
