Whistla- OXRR004 (Ox Rider)
	With his releases on his own Ox Rider Records, East London DJ / Producer Whistla has made a name for himself as one of the most interesting Dubstep producers on the scene today. Not afraid to push things in new directions he has crafted a sound which is uniquely his own. The 4th release on the label sees Whistla wearing his 2-step influences proud with 2 tracks of off kilter garage beats: Heaven oozes swing and groove. The bass line bubbles around a twisted vocal line whipping any listener into a frenzy which will see them swiveling across any dancefloor, studio or bedroom. Rollerball utilizes a tearing break and combines it with garage shuffle. It pounds subtly with understated mid range wub-wubs. Like the name suggests, it is a proper roller and totally unlike the ‘conveyor belt’ productions dubstep churns out today. Firmly part of the Dubstep scene but conscientiously mutating the UK Garage sound of old, Whistla’s music is totally compelling and uncompromising.
