Black Canvas make music straight from the heart, music with consciousness. Their debut album ’Rise’ is simply complex, inspired by life, naturally grown and delivered personally. This album is a distillation of experience, gained first hand from living in ’the land of the blind’. The essence of the music is love and faith, courage, tenderness, generosity and sacrifice. The bar has been raised.‘Babylon’, a collaboration with between Black Canvas & The Breakfastaz is the first single taken from the album ’Rise’ and is undoubtedly the stand out track in terms of dance floor sensibilities. The Breakfastaz lay down their trademark funky beats, driving basslines and faultless production whilst Black Canvas layer poetic words and soulful harmonies on top. The single will include the vocal and instrumental versions to get 2008 off to a flyer.
